Oan Mkoll - Gaunt's Ghosts - Tanith First & Only
Whoa, this is my scratchbuilt Chief of Scouts Oan "The Chief" Mkoll from Dan Abnetts outstanding Gaunt's Ghost series! How about that. This is for a university project actually, been working on this figure for quite some time, about a month I'd say. He's completely scratch built with super sculpey, and GW's green stuff for welding and general details (such as the Tanith Cap badge) Painted with GW's paint and some Forge World soot powder actually (for sooting down the metal, and the straight silver just like in the books) I've read all the books (obviously, and so should YOU!) and I also went about for another round just trying to find and mark out the details and specific descriptions conserning the characters in the books. I really wanted to make this as much fan-approved as possible. I even asked Dan by mail what the color of Nalwood was! It's teak, apparently! *That tattoo is nowhere in the books, but hey, his wife Eiloni is mentioned by name, and I reckon one might tattoo ones wife's name on ones arm if you come from a culture that have alot of tattooing going on? Was kinda cool too so, hey. More to come, but we'll start off with Corbec and Mkoll.
