I did this piece for the Arcane Challenge III where I managed to get second place just behind Bren's Helldorado figure. After the Forge World Inquisitor Lord I wanted to do something simple without lots of detail and this was just about the perfect figure for this. I did the initial highlighting and shading with an airbrush which is a first for me, but I'm no where near good enough with one yet to do more than that. It did help with fixing a light direction though and was a relatively quick way of doing so. The base was made from strips of patterned wood inlay. These were then stained to darken the edges.
