I painted this Commissar for painting contest in Poland "Hussar 2010" and this mini won gold in single miniature SF category ;)

It's wonderfully painted but... it's too clean. If i saw a picture of this with a real person, I'd think he was photoshopped in. Nothing in the scene seems to match the churned up dirt of the battlefield. It's wonderfully done, but to me feels artificial, though he does have light dust on his boots to try and create a link between the figure and the scenery.
