Witch Hunters Warband

It has been 2 years since I shared something with you the last time simply because I haven’t finished any projects since then. Now I have finally finished my Witch Hunters warband and to be honest I’m looking forward to do some smaller projects that don’t take all my hobby-time for almost 2 years. The idea of doing a Witch Hunters Warband is quite ordinary I guess, as I just think these guys are tremendously cool ! But the project really started to take form as I saw some of the concept art for the online game Warhammer Age of Reckoning, in which the artist perfectly combines the World of Warhammer with the common concept of a Witch Hunter ( as seen in Van Helsing fore instance) I wanted to make my band out of existing GW models, but as I think the current range of Witch Hunters for Mordheim is terribly outdated, and because I felt like adding my own touch, I came up with using the Bretonnian Men at Arms command group for 2 of my Witch Hunters ( and I’ve noticed that MOZZ http://www.coolminiornot.com/143728 used the Men at Arms for his Witch Hunters some years back) The female captain of the band is based upon the High Elves Wizard on foot. The Ogre is based upon the Ogre Paymaster Maneater and the dog is one of Orions hounds. The Elven Ranger is the Elven Mage for Mordheim with a few alterations. The project as a whole has been fun and very educating in many ways for me and well … quite time consuming ;-P Hope you will enjoy… P. Kennum

Simply stunning - saw it in the flesh this week and it's just superb! Looking at it then and again now I'm still picking up on new things, I absolutely love it!
