I think you got the right idea with the texture of the flesh but as stated in earlier comments, it is a bit heavy on the paint job and other areas seem to have a rushed feel. I understand if you want to paint the basic template and post it as quick as possible but trust me, it's well worth it once you've spent time ironing over the flaws and making it as good as you can make it. I would also recommend dry brushing the red, research it if you don't know what it is, and also dry brush the silver for the chain mail, I did that with mine and it came out quite well, but my camera sucks so I have no picks up yet. Also, if you haven't already, before actually painting the mini properly, a thin undercoat would help, and one last tip, when you add detail to the shoulder and leg armor, don't worry about getting some paint out of the detail area, that can easily be corrected, so focus more on good detail rather than not getting paint where you don't want it. Sorry I blabbed on for so long, I hope I helped and good luck with more minis.
that's okay, i've had worse comments (see first comment). this is a model which i am redoing. the red spots are supposed to be some kind of plague, but i went a bit overboard about it. i'm thinking of being a lot neater with my second try, and my second dp looks a lot better, too.
thanks for the cc, glom.
i don't wanna be a jerk, but try to thin your paints, and paint more accurately. alot of the areas have random colors there and the paints are all kind of mixed together
