40k Marine Rhino
Putting myself out on a limb here and posting more large scale 40k stuff. This is one of the two rhinos I just finished up a couple of weeks ago for my custom SM chapter, the Nesewsjet-nedjety. It's rather plainly based around an Egyptian theme. For those interested the writing on the right side DOES in fact translate. It says the rhino is part of the Regiment of Re. It then gives the names for the rhinos. The rest translates "the chariot of the Horizon, much beloved of Osiris who is upon his throne, the lord of eternity. Akhet, the word for horizon, can also translate as tomb. I realize it's a little arcane, but I thought it would be nice to add a tad of humor in the naming of a vehicle that tends to get labeled as a death trap. I am slightly at a loss on how to effectively weather a khaki vehicle since most of the dust ends up being invisible. I did some lite paint chipping and slight rusting to the tracks which is unusual for this chapter though I though more fitting since the rhinos would take more of a beating than the marines armor or the dreadnought armor.
