3rd edition Space Marine (speedpaint)
This was my entry for a speed painting competition at Wargame Underground http://www.wargameunderground.com/ This is the competition thread: http://www.wargameunderground.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=355&pid=2120#pid2120 Miniature by Games Workshop (parts from 2nd and 3rd edition) These are the steps and colors, 2 hours from plastic to finish: Primed with rustoleum tan camouflage spray paint. The red basecoat is Vallejo Gore Red, which was then dry brushed with a mix of Blood Red and Fire Orange. Washed with Baal Red. then a few highlights with Fire Orange. The yellow was actually a white base coat, followed by a wash with a 3/2 mixture of Baal Red wash and old school Citadel yellow ink. That was followed with some highlights of sunburst yellow. All the metal was Vallejo Mithril Silver, washed with badab black. The chest plate was Codex Grey, washed with badab black, then dry brushed with white.
