The gem and eyes are good, and while i dont like the colour of the sword, the technique is reasonably well done. I agree with the comments on the flesh though.
ya, I've been working lately on making my hair and skin look better. I agree that they look rather flat. I'm just sort of experimenting with it now, if anyone has any tips I'd love to hear them. I've started doing a basecoat of the flesh color, inking, flesh again, ink, flesh mixed with a lighter color, ink, and then maybe one more light shade on the high areas of the flesh.
The clothes and base look very nice (love the gem) But I think the face looks too plain. There may be highlights, but they are too subtle to see. The hair looks flat. Still very nice overall.
