Old School Chaplain

First time posting on CMON, just started painting in January. Need all the help I can get. Base coated everything.... pretty much, all I have really done is the face. Posts on that and anything else is welcome. Having a really hard time getting the eyes the way I want em, any suggestions or cool ideas are greatly appreciated. This is the first of multiple postings, its a work in progress post. All comments welcome even trolls since I know I'll get them regardless.

Not a bad start mate. Looks like you might have smudged your red detailing on the legs onto the black a bit, I'd try to block the black back in a little before you continue, a little time spent at this point will save you some heartache later. Eyes are always a pain - you're right to do them first - I'd echo what Kjugen says - just a little more difference between the light and the dark shades to make them pop a bit more. Other than that though, they're fine. Good bone colour on the skull too - keep up the good work!

Welcome! The head looks a little flat - try to put on a light brown wash over it an reapply the highlights with the base color. You can hit the eyes with a darker brown around the edges to make them pop a little more, but otherwise i think they are ok. But to be honest it's hard to judge a partially complete miniature and my score is for what i see overall - 3 for the body and +1 for the head. Don't rush things and post the complete mini, if you look for advice during painting try the forum.
