Battle for Macragge Genestealer
I painted this for a recent competition on the RelicNews Painting & Modeling Forum. It came down to near the end of the submission deadline and I was in a crunch for time, but thanks to a fairly straightforward color scheme and a wash/glaze-based painting technique, I was able to get this submitted in time. Although the end result turned out fairly different, my original inspiration for the color-transitioning chitin plating of this Genestealer was the cover of the 5th Ed. 40K Tyranid Codex.
