Space Wolf Dreadnought Conversion with Tyranid Skeleton

I started off positioning the whole head looking outward, and it didnt look quite right to me (stuck out too far) so I cut it up the middle and made a profile out of it. I like that effect :) The shading of the gold worked out well to bring out the wolf's facial detail, even from a distance. The snow isnt great - just white putty really. I have a thing for doing Tyranid skeletons :) Overall I think if I did another SW vehicle I would use darker grey and more of a blend up to the highlites (what you are looking at is 90% a 50/50 Shadow Grey/SW Grey mix. The edges are pure SW grey. Also, originally the claws were brought up to much lighter colored tips - then I glazed them blue and destroyed that :\ PS regarding battle damage and weathering, I find that to be a personal preference thing - Im more a fan of "clean" mini's. I might try that effect on a Land Raider Im putting together (also SW).

excellent paint job overall, and I agree with you (sorry serak and J23) : I prefer a clean painting, especially for loyal marines (they have means to keep their equipment ready for battle)

Sure - this is what's left when all the "fleshy bits" rot away :)
