Eldar Wingless Swooping Hawk

He was sitting in front of my TV beckoning to be painted so I decided to try this kind of effect. Its sloppy in some places, but it seems to get just what I wanted to achieve on him. If you can't tell, his armor is supposed to be super-reflective and reflecting and refracting light coming from the terrain and the sky. Stupidly, I listened to my mother, who did not wish to scour the various stores around town to find the right kind of sand for bases, who said kitty litter would work...and yes I used it, but it clumps together producing this cracked effect (which could actually be useful somewhere terrain-wise). The rock almost seems out of place to me. I intended to paint it purple but didn't have the paint or the will to go buy some so blue did the trick. The wings will eventually be done but will probably take as long as the guy himself. Each wing has 50 (!) complex surfaces for me to go and pick out and paint appropriately. Comment!! I need advice if nothing more

pretty good "painted metal". i just want to point out that eldar don't use chrome, and eldar armor is matte in surface texture. technically this should be reserved for a marine or something similar, one who would be polishing their armor. but other than that small background gripe its an excellent job.

I almost gave it a 7, i'd like to see you try this fig afain in a year! Look for artb0ooks by Robert Williams ( an underground comic artist of the Zap! era ). He does exceptional 2d representations of chrome. Very inspirational stuff

I enjoy it's originality. At first look I was thinking 'what the in the hells?', but having it as an ultra relfective surface made it make sense. I Like it.
