Cryx Bloat Thrall
Hi everyone! I recently picked up a subscription to Miniature Mentor and I have been voraciously watching all of the videos. They have really got some excellent tutorials and I have bumped my skill from noob to rookie fairly quick. I dabbled with painting a few of my 40k mini's in the past, about two years ago, but was disappointed with the results and stopped. I spent the past year or so reading up on various painting techniques, doing research on various effects, and watching the videos from Miniature Mentor. This is my second painted mini since I picked up the subscription from MM. I was dabbling with painting undead flesh with some of my Bile Thrall's which I'll eventually post but this is the first time I felt good about how the skin tone came out. The Bloat Thrall is slightly more pink in the photo's then it is in real life. The mini actually has more of a muted green tone to it then what the camera is picking up. I thought about adding some dark blue varicose veins but havent played around with the effect yet. Well anyhoo, let me know what you think and if any areas could be improved upon. Thanks, Don
