GD08 Salamanders Captain mkII

hey CMON... well, i fixed a few things after the comments and critique from the first submission... i've also added views that show the freehand on the wreathed skull on top of his backpack... the front angle was so overshadowed, the inscription "Ignea" didn't show up in the pics... i really had fun painting this mini, and got to try out a few new techniques (such as realistic flames, and glowing lenses), as well as working on my battledamage and dramatic lighting... i'm happy to say that this guy took the Silver Medal in the Single Mini category of the Golden Bolter contest over at the Bolter & Chainsword website... he also took the People's Choice award in his category up against some incredible minis, and it was only by 1 vote!!! hope you like him... thanks for lookin'... cheers jah
