Ghost Miniatures Rangers #2
Because these Rangers are primarily bowmen I decided that decorating shields was not a priority as they would only pick them up if their arrow work wasn’t sufficient. I used the dreaded dry brush technique on them – Base Coat was solid Armory Brown – then three Polly S Colors: Dirt, Khaki, then Tan all lightly dry brushed on in succession. The Green on the cloaks was 50:50 Black (whosever) to Dark Angel Green. To this I added successive doses of Fortress Gray. It’s not quite as pronounced as I was hoping for as I did all 15 of these at once and was running low on the mix I had put together. I kept thinning with water hoping to keep a viable quantity around but by the time I got to the final highlights it was pretty watery indeed – enough so that the edges aren’t quite as bright as I would have liked them. It also dried much darker than I had hoped. See the other 3 pics in this series for other recipes I used on these figs. Questions and comments are welcome . . .
