Thank´s for your comment. I am just beginning to see how i can create good locking photos. The hint with the background colour sounds very good indeed.
It really seems that the pictures are not doing these models justice. The red background washes the colors and detail out. I suggest trying a more neutral one such as gray, blue or even black.
