for painting terms its about 8.5 in my opinion, you have very nice freehand, some nice blending and a nice overall look.
as a whole though, the thing that really lets it down to me is the base. i think its a nice idea, but from some angles it looks like hes trying to hide behind the tree, if it was a stump/broken branch that didn't go higher than the head it would look better. also i think it would benefit from a larger base, as sometimes it looks like he's falling over and unbalanced. its a nice piece but the base lets it down to me.
