@precinctomega - I can see what you're saying. This is a bit of a test for work I intend doing on some of the Retribution myrmidon carapaces soon, which won't have the same issue, but it's also just such a great canvas for doing some freehand work! Appreciate the comment though and it is definitely something I'll keep in mind in future.

Interesting. Your painting is obviously of very high quality and you freehand is beautiful but, oddly, I find that the freehand detracts from the miniature in this case. I think it's that the very dynamic pose demands more of a sense of motion, and the very intricate freehand design, wonderfully executed, though it is, actually makes her look oddly static. Something to bear in mind, I think...
