Last of the Time Lords - A Doctor Who vignette
This was my entry for the painting contest in Ropecon '09 (Espoo, Finland). As it turned out, it was the only entry of its kind, which was a bit sad. On the other hands, it means I won the category, which was nice. It took me about 3-4 days of work to build the vignette once I had all the materials at hand. I cheated a bit and used a plastic base from a model kit I owned to save even more time. The resin phone box was purchased from Fenris Games and painted up decently well, though observant Doctor Who fans might notice it doesn't quite match the Tardis, detail-wise. The same is true for the Doctor's wardrobe in this picture, I chose elements and shades from the Tenth Doctor's outfit, but didn't try to match them exactly in my miniature, which would've probably not worked anyway.
