This is my second attempt at doing marble- there was a great article here on CMON that detailed this technique, but I didn't have a sponge handy ( a real one that is) so I tried it with an old beat up brush I had lying around :) What do you think?

pretty cool idae with the marble, i think some more varying thin lines or breaking up those bigger light streaks would have made it perfect.

I like the antiqued look gold at the top and bottom of the pillar. The marble itself looks good though probably would have looked even better if done with a sponge (given it a more natural marbly look). A brush is good for painting on streaks in the marble after the sponging is done. Nice job.
