5.5 -- I think this is actually a pretty good use of color; white/grey can be hard to get right. As for blending, I really recommend the basic tutorial from Miniature Mentor, or look up the YouTube video of Jeremie Bonamant-Teboul's tutorial on Miniature Painting from Kraken Editions.
