Brother-Captain Stern of the Grey Knights

My take on Brother-Captain Stern...=) Based on Artemis (obviously), every part of him's been converted in some way... the banner's a piece of nylon fabric, and the sash is a strip of cotton fabric... the stone effect on the armour was achieved with enormous amounts of drybrushing (around eight layers), and a very watery white to top it off (before the veining though)... The right hand and psycannon (more of a pistol really, but there you go) is scratch-built... the base isn't that visible unfortunately, but it's a marble floor broken off, revealing industrial-style grating and cabling, with four tzeentchian tentacles (tieing in with Stern's old nemesis M'Kachen) bursting up through it... All in all, I like it...=)

well you obviously put a lot of time into this conversion, and it's pretty awesome. I like the stone effect, but the face and metal areas could do with being a bit smoother, to give it some contrast to the roughness of the stone.

A awesome effort and not bad painting. One comment, maybe it looks a little over burdened with equiptment which detracts from the clean cut armour of the large scale model causing a "junky" appearence. Although as you can see from my vote I am impressed.
