Well this is my first miniature in well over a year, and boy does it feel good to have finished her. A recent illness made me realise that life's far too short to spend all my time thinking about painting, and I should just do it! The photos are probably way too large, but she's a tall and lean sculpt and I didn't want to waste too much space......so I'm laying my painting open to whatever criticism comes my way! It's good to be back!

I think that you definitely did a great job on this mini! you really captured everything! the skin tones are excellent, the expression on her face is perfect! and you did an excellent job with the red for the clothes. Glad that you are happy about painting again! Definitely cant wait to see more of your work!

my illness has been both a motivating factor and a drag factor for me .. on the one hand made me just get on with stuff that's been in my mind on the other slowed me down.. Great to see that yours has inspired you to finish the first piece in a while and a pleasure it is to see. love the skin tones sort of that un natural colours giving a naturall effect going on and the whole piece just lets the sculpt do the talking. Great stuff.
