It seems there's one of these bad boys posted every other day... So here's another! The details aren't that clear thanks to the mediocre photo (sorry, I'm no photographer), and the painted on bolter barrels are only there until I get my pin vice. Overall, I'm happy with the result, though I'll try to get a better picture. This is my first submission to CMON so comments and criticism would be appreciated. Cheers.

6.5 : Great gaming piece! Here are a few simple ideas to make the picture look better : use a completely neutral background (a white sheet of paper with the mini on it), use more lights to pick the details out and help your camera ajust correctly, try to thin your paints a bit more. I also agree with "big poppa bear" that a few more details on the base would make this character mini "pop" more. Finally, feel free to post in the forum to get feedback while you're painting ;).

Thanks for the feedback. The chapter is of my own creation. They don't have a name yet, but they're purple with gold trim. Maybe they can be a Hawk Lords sub-chapter? You're right about the base, but I paint all my marines for gaming purposes and like to keep the bases as simple and uncluttered as possible. I guess a skull or a couple of shell casings etc wouldn't hurt in future. Cheers.

From the picture your mini seems very clean, i like the quality of your skull, beast plate and scroll. What chapter is it ? My only real criticism is the plain base although painted well it could use some detail with skulls,bigger rocks or dead xenos perhaps. Anyway keep up the good clean work and dont worry about the phot there are some good articles on taking pics on CMON that helped me take the pics i have.
