Sea Drake with Dark Elf Rider

Ahhh…Dark Elves. You just have to love their tendency to capture, enslave and put to use every beastie imaginable. For my own humble sculpting endeavours, creating as yet unseen/new monsters (or better, monstrous mounts), almost always results in something used by Chaos or Dark Elf forces. This one I imagined as a fast striking riding beast used in amphibious (pun!) assaults launched by Dark Elven Raiders. As a shock unit it should strike fear into every beach-defending High Elf, so it should be ridden by a minor noble. The rider is a conversion of diverse GW-plastics (as it pre-dates the really cool plastic Cold One Knights) with a just little bit sculpting (mainly the hair and the cloak). Hope you like it and would be glad if you took a few moments to comment on it. (Especially as I am unsure which paintjob the serpent should get; first ideas are: mainly black, dots of purple on the back, dark grey spines and a dark purple underbelly; all complementing a mainly purple/black dressed rider) Let me know what you think! Happy Painting to you all!

Awsome sculpt! you ever thought of going to resin and selling them? If you do drop me a line. I think you should paint it like a Great White shark, dark grey on top and white/bone on the bottom. Can't wait to see it painted no matter the palet you use.

Hey! awesome sculpt! Personally I think it would suit a paler colour scheme, like a deep sea fish or something similar, maybe speckled with dark purple and/or green.
