This first place winner (Sci-Fi Player Character -1990 Dundracon in California) is a Games Workshop Genestealer Hybrid converted into a Shadowrun Hacker Character. I created the "head-cable" from scratch, as well as the access panel, spliced wires, and screwdriver embellishing the base. All were made with wire and putty. I need to take some better photos; this one's a favorite.

I tend to think he's talking furtively into a mike, signalling his partners in crime that the security system is offline and he's "going in".

This deserves way better than it's getting. I thought he was either blowing on his fingers or spitting into his palm as he prepares to do some thing slick. That look of concentration on is face is awesome. This guy is Neurmancer good and he knows it.
