Rutger Shaw - Dark Heresy conversion
Painted 2009. Iron Kingdoms Rutger Shaw, painted as an Inquisition Acolyte character (Arbitrator) for Dark Heresy. Insignia on the shoulders didn't come out very well in the photos. Left is Inquisition symbol, right is Adeptus Arbites. Intended the skin tone to be African, came out looking more Indian/sub-continental. Lessons learned: - Black highlighted with grey looks chalky. - Can't get a scarlet red if you HL with orange. - Be thorough with ALL highlights. I dropped the ball on the gun edges.
