Full Metal Jacket
This was my entry for Wyrd's Iron Painter 6 round 2 Contets. The theme this round being 'Full Metal Jacket'. So i have added nods to the film (the sign say Hue - city in the film, and a helmet adorned with the peace sign and 'born to kill' on it, seminal images from the film poster. obviously they have got themselves some full metal jackets except one dumb ass who thought the sarge said full PETAL jacket! oh and the boss i found in a dusty old box but his jacket actually has metal edging and rivets and everything so that was handy. My opponent for the round was Wren so the bird is a tribute to her (its actually painted as a Carolina wren which resides where my opponent lives apparently. I must say that the idea for the barrrel ork was gleaned from Undave so thanks mate. the barrel is scratchbuilt btw. also some freehand in there including the Wyrd logo and ultramarine,tau and whitescar symbols. cheers, Brett
