Platinum Dragon

I just recently took this and several other dragons out of storage. These pieces are all from the Dragon Lords series by Grenadier produced in 1985-6. All these dragons were primed, painted with solid undercoats, then finished with metallic dragonscale cremes from Ral Partha. These minis all were painted over 15 years ago. By the standards of the minis posted here, I admit they are not painted that well, however I thought some people might be interested in seeing this out of print series from the past.

Very nice paint job, especially for the era. I think if you based it up it would be a heck of a good job.

The metallic dragonscale cremes were a wax that had metal flecks in it. These were produced by Ral Partha and were applied with a foam applicator then sealed with a spray gloss varnish. Thanks for the interest!!

Ah, who cares about the scores? It's cool to see a sculpt like this. What were metalic dragonscale cremes?
