Dwarven stone thrower / catapult (GW) in ruined building

This is my latest diorama, showing the dwarven stone thrower from GW built up in a ruined tower. It took me quite some time to finish it, but I had a lot of fun with all those little details. I could have continued in adding many more, but as I have further projects in mind, I decided not to do so :) Dwarves & stone thrower: Games Workshop Dun crow / raven: Reaper Ruins: Hirstarts Castle Molds - moulded plaster bricks cutted & vastly modified wherever it was possible in order to make it look... well... ruined ;) Rocks: Noch Rock Mold Ground: real earth granules and usual modelling grass (different manufacturers) Tree: Busch (Blackberry) bushes: Sea cypress (whiteweed) with artificial leaves, oregano (Ivy) cirruses: miniNatur Flowers: real, very small flowers; sprayed with matt varnish, dried and then simply glued to single blades of grass Chest: self-made: green stuff Bag: self-made: piece of tissue, glued and filled with sand Shields: plaster casts of a self-made green stuff shield Diorama frame & engraving: The engraving reads in German: "Beim Barte meines Urahns - genau zwischen die Augen" - basically translated "Oh beard of my ancestor - right between the eyes" I have painted the metals on the dwarves and on the chest using (or better said: trying ;)) NMM. The iron metals on the stone thrower as well as on the shields have been simulated by priming the surface with very dark grey, then "painting" them with a simple pencil / graphite, finishing with umbra ink and highlighting with graphite again. For the different heads and rune plates on the stone thrower I used metallic colours (copper, gold and silver) as I had quite some difficulties in imagining all the light reflections, shadowing etc. on such a complex structure. I prefered keeping this simple instead of using NMM and ending up with an odd looking catapult due to - probably a couple of - wrong lighting directions. Please do not hesitate to leave a comment stating what you like and/or what needs to be improved in future :)
