Ballistic

Ok, this is my first sculpted mini... A lot of things to improve, but I'm quite happy with this test, cause now I know that I can do anything with the green stuff apart from stick my fingers together :D The known things to improve are: 1. Her face... It looks quite strange, I have to practice with faces... :P 2. Her right arm... Well it was the first arm and hand I made, as u can see her left arm is much better, but I will keep training :) 3. The smoothness of all the green stuff... Well that's difficult 'cause I work with few tools: A toothpick, the back of a brush and my fingers... I really need to get more tools... 4. Her size... She is 40mm, I didn't care about scale and more about body proportions on this first try, but I will have to go to the 28mm... 5. Whatever u see and want to post (I will be grateful...) I'm painting her atm, but not much effort put into this 'cause is only a test... I will upload some pics of her painted when I finish... Plz comments/criticism always welcome!!! Thx, Mergram

Very well done! Yout 'first' looks like my 80th so your ahead of where I was- I see some real potential in your style and I like that you did 40mm (a client of mine is having me do a ton of 40mm so I am used to the long look) I'm not expert but I do have tutorials on my site- a good one for female faces come to think of it: http://groups.msn.com/SculptingMiniatures

In general, it looks good. The pose is nicely active and I see you're quite good with accessories. The main thing you need to improve on (which you've mentioned yourself) is to improve on anatomy. First get the anatomy down. Then worry about accessories. I'd say you'll be wonderful to work wonders on conversions with your accessory ideas. But the back muscles on her and her right arm needs more defenition.
