Ultramarines Captain

I've not been painting very long at all, but I'm pleased with how this miniature turned out. The cape shows my first attempts to blend colours. I'm afraid the photos don't seem to have come out too well so my apologies. I'll have to experiment with the lighting and camera settings. Please let me know what you think; I am keen to get some constructive criticism and suggestions on how I might improve :-)

To say that you haven't been painting very long, this is very good indeed. The hard edging on the power armour is neat and crisp. Personally I would take the highlight a little bit further - but that is just me! The purity seals are great and the script is again very neat. The flesh needs work (or seems to, it might just be the pic) it doesn't look to have any depth. I know that you can shade - you have done it on the cloak. Same principle on the flesh just using different colours. Everyone uses different recipes for flesh tones but if you check out the "submissions" forum you will find loads. Or find an artist who's flesh tones you like and pm them.
