I had used a lot of dry brushing back then.
I'm trying very hard to get away from that technique.

This is really deserving a higher score. At least table top. I've seen a lot worse score higher so this is a shame. True the photo needs work, but you can still see things well enough to score it higher than 3.6!
I like the base on this one. I would emulate this on your other models. Pic is a little out of focus (no biggy) and I would seriously reccomend hitting up the articles section and doing a little research on some shading and highlighting techniques. Keep it coming Lloyd!
