I agree with stresingj - Cropping your photos is a great thing. It'll save space on the server too!

Good start. The biggest thing for me is the cross on the shield - cleaning that up by going back with white and tightening up the cross would really improve the look of the figure.

A simple photo program, such as MS Photo Editor will allow you to crop the wasted space from the pics, so you can focus on the mini instead. Good efforts, keep practicing.
