It looks to me that you like to spray with boltgun then use a wash to pick out the details. There's nothing wrong with that, in fact it gives the mini a very consistent overall appearance. But when using washes on large flat areas (like the shoulders) you'll tend to get that 'coffee stain' sort of effect if you use a lot at a time. The best thing to do is go over it with a scratch effect using a different shade like chainmail. Your lord looks good too btw. :)
I would liek to see a top view as it looks like you've done some interesting weathering on your model, but it's tough to make out from the angles shown.
