Berserker

the base isnt finished yet. this is one berserker from the unit im currently painting for my friend, please give tips and comments! i start with black primer. lightings on black are made with 3 different greys (with almost no blending techniques), red is made with 4 differents reds, from black to orange, blending in a fast way with slightly diluited colours, metal is made with a base of shining gold or chainmail, shaded with a controlled use of washes (brown wash for gold, black wash for chainmail) and lightened with mithril silver, diluited in case i have to do a little blending. took me almost 5 hours to do this this is a work in progress so tips are highly appreciated!!

a great wip piece, the colourscheme is great! Given that you asked for comments here goes - love the blending, but would like to see it just as carefully done on the metallic areas as the non-metallic areas. Also, to increase the contrast between the bone and gold, to use the bone as a clearer spot colour, maybe ink the bone in a different shade than the gold. Also you could draw lines, like spikey beginnings of woodgrain, to make the bone parts look like actual cracked bone if you really wanted to go overboard! That'd pop for sure!
