Tyranid Carnifex 1st Price Swedish entry

This model took home the first price in the category '40k monsters'. I assembled it almost during the same day it was released (may 2004) but then chose not to paint it since I couldn't come up with a gnarly colour scheme. 4 years later I found a really neat colour scheme. My salvation was google, I found some really gnarly desert insects such as locusts and used them as a model for my carnifex. I'm sorry if the pics are grainy, doens't have a good background, if the lights are poor etc. This is the first time I've ever taken pictures of miniatures and I can see that I might need some improvement so please don't be to harsh ;) One other problem is that i don't know how to upload more than one pic per upload so I have to upload them all separate. p.s. sorry fo my bad enlish :( I'm from Sweden.

That is one of the most original colour schemes I've ever seen on a Tyranid, and yet it really suits the beast. It truly looks alien and not as "Cartoonish" as so many other Tyranids I've seen. Great job with the pose and the paintjob. Fortsätt i den stilen :)
