Cryx Battlebox & Pistol Wraith

These are the first miniatures I've painted. The bases are simple and more functional than elaborate (just grass and 180 degree arc), but I would really love to learn how to make bases like the ones featured by many modelers on this site. I know the paint is bad and simple, so be gentle and I would appreciate any tips or feedback.

Hey, you have to start somewhere, No need to be so hard on yourself, this is a very respectable begining. The paint could be fixed up in a couple places, looks good for the most part but gets a bit sloppy in places and as ModelPainter has said, some highlights and shading will really help sell the illusion. Those are the 2 things that stand out most as needing work to bring it up to the next level, IMO.

You have to be applauded for your freehand work! The runes on the Slayer are very nice - you should add some to the deathrippers too! You might try a brown wash over the bone areas and a black wash over your metalilics (but avoid those places where you have green in the necrovents). Your basic work here is good, you just need to add some washed for detail.
