2008 Canadian Silver Large Scale - Keeper of Secrets

This model won a silver at the 2008 cdn games day large scale category. As many know, I displayed sadness at the competition that the category had so few entries...9 I think. I was expecting more due to the wonderful works seen in europe in large, figured more people would try their hand at it. In the end, it didn't feel like a 'good' win. BUt I am happy of the model. I have another previous pic here with more angle shots: http://www.coolminiornot.com/181750 I ended up fixing up parts of the model, enhancing the base, redoing freehand on the legs, etc. My sculpture I was doing, i wasn't happy with it, so I ended up just fixing this one up and bringing her. I have included the better pic GW took, so maybe get more comments to see what people think of her... later everyone. Sanjay

The blending on the glazes is very smooth. Judging from the pictures I think the model is let down because it looks more like an exercise in glazing but doesn't have much sense of shadow (especially in areas where you have a lot of texture to play around with like the breasts and spikes on the legs) so it leaves the model looking a little flat. The colour on the base is also very similar to the rest of the model. Personally I would've painted it darker and with a reddy/orange tint to compliment the main colours you have on the actual model.

Not the greatest pic, but having seen the figure a few times in person I know the mini pretty well :D The blending is ridiculously well done and I especially like the colours.
