Haven't painted for a lifetime, I used to read White Dwarf when it wasn't part of Games Workshop... please be kind to an old fogey! *grin*

white is one of hardest colour to paint. i think this work is good as starting point, u'd have to make some highlights and shadows both to Gandalf than to the horse. i'm sure that the result should be nice

im on with this one at the moment...id suggest giving the horse a wash of very diluted grey,this will show u the raised areas.then pick these off with white.if that works then try the same on gandalf but with a very light tan for the wash remember this is hardest duo in middle earth and the end result should be nearly gleaming white sort of angelic btw shadowfax should be silver at day but i cant think of a good way of depicting this
