Crypt of the Sorcerer Details

This is a commission piece that I recently wrapped up. The challenge here was to bring a 2d map from the early 80's tabletop game, Heritage Dungeon Dwellers, and reproduce it as a 3d playable gaming piece. This piece is in true 25mm scale, and measures 17" x 12". I built the board itself out of high density foam, re-enforced with foamcore. A few bits of it were storebought, such as the Iron Maiden and the Rack, which came from GFI. The miniatures themselves were from Heritage Dungeon Dwellers, and painted by Darron Lafleur. Some of the chests are storbought, some are scratchbuilt. A fun bit of this piece, is that all of the doors are functional, using DuBro model airplane hinges to swing the doors. The water is made using Woodland Scenics Realistic Water. http://www.dungeon-dwellers.info/

Keep on happy building these great pieces! Regards jar - PS: The leaves on my knight are from the company, called "MiniNatur", only know this german shop who got 'em: http://www.shop.maxpaint.de/product_info.php?products_id=33
