Clearbrook - Elfquest sculpt by Julie Guthrie

Just posting this 'cause of the "What was your first mini?" thread. =) This is something I painted when I was a teenager. I think it was in high school but it could have been as far back as junior high. Pretty sure it was high-school, though. Anyway... I painted it sometime in the mid-80s. The last pic in the series is just to show the relative size of Julie Guthrie's Elquest series. They DEFINE eye strain. She's pictured here next to one of my Rackham dwarfs. Enjoy!

=) That would be fun, actually. I still have a good handful of them. Mostly the book four versions. I have so many projects going right now that a re-paint probably isn't very likely in the next couple years. I'll definitely hold on to them though. I wish I still had the whole set, though.

Thanks for posting an Elfquest mini - I thought I had the only ones on the site! You ought to strip and repaint her, as you could really do her justice now.

Heh heh... thanks. And, of course, it was more than 20 years ago. You'd hope I'd have improved a little bit since then! ;-)
