This particular concoction is supposed to represent a mining vehicle designed to recover lost artifacts and will eventually have some kind of focused particle beam attached to the front arm. As for the legs and the Sentinel power pack on the side, I got the inspiration from a telcomms cabling vehicle at work.
Cool - but those twin lascannon look like they need more support.
And I'm not sure the Supporting legs (Behind the Dreadnought powerplant) are needed, but I like the idea
