'To the Victor the spoils' Norman Knight

This is a very nice Romero Norman knight, after long conversations with my friend (history teacher) I have looked at the validity of this model in a historical sense. Firstly, there is no evidence that the Norman's carried Dracos either to or at the time of the Norman conquest. There is one depicted on the Bayeux Tapestry but it a depiction of the 'Red dragon of Wessex.' It was fabled to be the personnal banner of King Harrold, as depicted on the tapestry. A draco is a throwback from the Roman era, made of a bronze dragon head and a cloth 'wind sock.' Secondly, the scale armour is historically correct. He is equiped as a light horseman, not one of the fully armoured knights. This was a nice model to make and paint, nice cast and sculpt! Anyway, comments please.

Really like the mini, but I think the pictures don't do it justice. I'd really encourage you to make new ones with a black (or at least not red) background...

I love this for many reason, but most the attention to detail. I mean you actually painted a miniature of the bayeux tapestry on the base. I also love (and assume you made it) the Draco windsock standard. Needless to say I'm very impressed with this mini.
