Looks pretty well done... the base is totally great to that guy... only the pictures hold it down for me a bit... too small to say something about the details i see and a bit too bright. Maybe you should check out a grey background (bright or dark) - go for some experiments there. I had made the experience personally for me that white always makes the pictures and the colours bad... WOW - why all the low scores? an average of 6.9? Im giving this a 9. Its not sci-fi or fantasy - its historical - and as such many of the over the top painting styles we're used to SHOULDNT apply here. This is gritty and real looking. The subtleties of the dust on the jacket, the golden hue to the skin, the subdued real tones to the shovels (NMM would be MOST innappropriate here for example).. all spot on!! The patterns on the vest were nice too. Really well done - good job...
