Nazgrub Scrap Prospektor, Gold 40K Single GD Canada 2008

Hey guys, I hope you like my latest creation. He took up approximately a week of my life prior to Games Day Canada. That equates to about 25 hours of painting and a few hours of prep work. The only really tough part about the prep job was breaking about 3-4 drill bits trying to pin his head and arm to his body. Don't ask why, all I know is that my thumb and ring finger looked like Swiss cheese by the time I was done! I'm really happy with how he turned out though. The color style and weathering represent a lot of my interests from the last few months, but it's the first time I got to put them all together on the same figure. It was a blast painting this classic old figure, and I highly recommend old Gorkamorka models to anyone who has never painted one. Many of them have tons more character than you'd expect, and if you find the cream of the crop then the quality of the sculpts is arguably higher than most new stuff on the market today. So it's not just nostalgia :D I will be posting tons of WIP shots and commentary on my Coolmini blog, so feel free to check that in the coming days if that's your kind of thing. Big thanks to Vincenti for helping me out with critique and encouragement as I worked on the figure.
