The large picture in front hides the shading which is more evident in the upper small picture. A little more light on the robe and dark on the beard would balance nicley
Those eyes really grab your attention...good work. As for improvements, try thinning your paints, making the highlighting more subtle using thinner layers of gradually lightening colour. Oh yeah, keep practicing! It's the best advice I can muster - keep up the good work!
