Iron Painter V: Havard

The theme was "I guess thats why they call it the blues". I wanted a mini that told a story and evoked emotion. I think I succeeded here. I only used (for the mini and base) VMC Dark Prussian Blue, VMC Offwhite, and RMS Pure Black. The rose is sculpted from GS and placed on, ironically, floral wire. It is painted with all RMS, black, burgundy wine, bright red. Comments and Critiques welcome and encouraged:)

I think it's excelent. the only thing is that the rose seems... oddly proportioned to the rest of the model. I think a buquey (sp?) of a few flowers placed on the ground in front of the head stone would be outstanding. Also seems odd that the stem of the rose was some how stuck into the ground.

I Love this piece, the blue make the model just glow. Also I love the idea of the red rose, helps make the model stand out a lot more.
