Psionic Minotaur

When my boyfriend and his friends planned a psionics campaign, the idea translated well into this Minotaur. It seemed strange that he had one heavy, carved cleaver in one hand and and a smooth sword in the other. The smooth sword was adapted for psionics, and the heavy cleaver still packs that kill punch at the end. As an aside, this is one of my favorite sculpts. If a hero is trying to look "heroic", they contort all the heck over the place. This Minotaur is calm and it's a very natural pose, but there's no question he can deliver a hell of a butt-whuppin'.

The blue-green blade is interesting, but conveys more "math" to me than it does "psionics". It's probably the angle of the photo, but I think the minotaur's head gets lots in his chest a bit.

I reaaaaly like this sword. But a little basing would have helped (at least painting the metal bit black !), and I suspect you used gloss varnish, which makes the pic, well, um, glossy.

I really like the blue and green sword, like the idea there and to me it appears well executed. I think the colours you picked for the skin put you at a bit of a disadvantage as its looks a difficult colour to highlight etc... Some more highlighting and shading on the gold and a finished base would definetly improve your score imo...
