Very nice model. Black i found very hard to do.. Too much highlighting and it's no longer black, too little and it looks flat...
Out of preference, my favourite part is the shading on the wings. My least favourite would be the feet as i'm not sure if it's the camera angle, but it looks like he has claws. If this is the case, then disregard that statement.
All in all, a very nice model :)
I took a few shots, however this is the only one that came out not looking liek shit. I was also told by my roommate who is a better painter (Scottdsp748 on coolminiornot) to have a white background to improve camera focus. Live and learn. =p
Also, I would be greatful if one of the few people who left a 1 would drop a line on what I can do to push my painting into the "2" rating tier. =D
I like the aging effect you achieved on the parchment. Post some pictures of the back if you have them, I'd like to see the backpack on this model. Well done.
